In 2019 the River Falls Community Foundation awarded it’s $10,000 Big Idea Grant to the River Falls Public Library to establish the “Big Fun Lab”, a learning and activity area in the library gallery during the winter months.
The River Falls Community Foundation (RFCF) funds inventive programs impacting the quality of life in River Falls through its annual $10,000 Big Idea Grant. Abundant Yoga Community, is the most recent recipient of the RFCF Big Idea Grant. Abundant Yoga Community (AYC) will utilize funds to provide yoga opportunities for traditionally underserved populations within the River Falls area in nontraditional, comfortable, accessible settings.
RIVER FALLS– The River Falls Community Foundation is offering a grant for up to $10,000 for anyone who has a project to improve the city. The grant competition is known as “The Big Idea”. The applicant must be a nonprofit organization, educational or religious institution to be considered for the grant.
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, school for children in River Falls was very different. Health and safety guidelines had students working from home more, and heavily dependent upon materials and assignments delivered over the internet. In some areas of the school district, internet is limited or not available, but cellular “hot spots” could provide internet access in those locations.
Dennis and Carol Ireland have a history of generously giving back to their community. A fatal accident at a crosswalk in River Falls motivated them to act when they realized it could have been prevented.
